to the Intelligence
section.
-
Streamlined the PHP code
for the Artillery, Vehicles, and Infantry pages.
-
Changed the layout of the
Text Database of Penetration Data in the Intelligence
section.
August 28th
- Many units in the Infantry database now
have penetration data, especially anti-tank weapons. When
viewing this data be sure to note that ranges go from 100 to 500
meters, not the usual 100 to 2000 meters. I felt this was more
appropriate since most infantry use anti-tank weapons are meant for
close engagements.
- Updated the Links section with a new
link to WWII
Armor, a very good website, who's webmaster does all his own
artwork and has given me permission to borrow some if needed. Go check
it out!
- Added the following units to the

August 27th
- Note:
Because I restored the PHP part of the site with old files, some
features were disabled until they could be re-coded. I didn't realize
it until last night, but the entire Rockets and Mortars section was
missing from the Artillery
page. It's been re-enabled, and now new visitors can see
approximately 15 units that were previously hidden. Sorry for
that mistake.
August 26th
- Added the following units to the Vehicle

| M3 Lee |
| M3A1 Lee |
| M3A3 Lee |
| GMC CCVK-353 6x6

- Added five new video clips to the Multimedia
section.
- I reduced / increased the size of all
video clips to 640 x 480 to ensure quality and optimize file size.
- Note:
There is now 150 megabytes of videos available on the Movies
page. I'm going to hold at this point for one week and watch bandwith
usage trends to see if my site can handle more. If it works out, I'll
put up another 50 MB of videos in September, but if it doesn't, I'll
trim the videos down to 125 megabytes or until I reach some sort of
balance.
- Added "Battleground Europe"

days.

engines in the Engine database.

July 19th
- Note from
Peter: I'm having trouble understanding the SQL part of the
database so it'll be some time before I'm able to add anything,
however Tarrif will be home soon so he can do that work himself.
In the meantime, there's a lot of interviews laying around and I'll
try to keep them coming. Maybe a few blurbs for vehicles already
in the database. Enjoy!
- Added a new interview (Dive Bomber at
Midway) to the Interview
section of the site.
July 11th
- Update:
Greetings! My name is Peter and I'll be helping Tarrif update and
promote his website while he's busy doing other things. The
first subject we agreed on was to promote the site more.
Currently the website receives between 10,000 and 15,000 unique
visitors per month with a majority of that traffic coming from Google
searches.. The bandwith is more than capable of dealing with
that number and so we both felt a few more visitors wouldn't hurt
performance. The current web rings and top lists that we have
already joined are in a new section at the bottom of the front page.
If you know a web ring or top list that this site would be appropriate
for, please contact us here.
- Note:
More updates will come in a few days as I begin to learn the layout of
the site. I want to emphasize that I am in no way taking over
the site or is Tarrif leaving the site. He's extremely busy with
work right now but has a ton of good ideas. We've been friends
for a long time so I'm going to help him get some of those ideas done
while I'm enjoying the summer off from school. Tarrif will still make
occasional updates over the summer. I feel very privileged to be
working with him on this site and will do my best to give you guys
what you want and keep you coming back!
